Workshop series: R for Textual Data. Modeling, Managing, and Analysis:

(In collaboration with the Digital Humanities Lab)

  • Four Zoom sessions of 2 hours each Friday in June (5., 12.,19.,26.)  from 11:00 to 13:00 by Moniek Kuijpers on the basics of Statistics in R. The week before each Zoom session the students will have to work their way through one module (except for week 1 in which we do Module 1 and 2) of powerpoint presentations with voice-overs explaining the concepts and run through a couple of exercises in R studio testing the concepts. If okay with all of the participants, the Zoom sessions can be recorded (but not copyable) so that if someone misses one session during these 4 weeks, he/she can catch up.
  • One additional session for evaluation and outlook with both Moniek and Berenike, so that Berenike can pick you up right at the point where you are, on Friday the 26th of June at 15:00
  • (week five ) Workshop on specific aspects of R for text analysis by Berenike Herrmann on June 29/30
